As a mom of a preschooler (age 3) and a toddler (age 1), I’m always looking for engaging and age-appropriate books for them, as well as book subscriptions that get them excited about reading! My daughter, Bailey has a hard time sitting through a long book. I’ve tried to read Stellaluna, The Giving Tree, The Velveteen Rabbit, and a bunch of my other childhood favorites to her, but I think I need to wait a couple years! Recently, we’ve had some book companies send us books geared to my kids’ ages! I want to share some of them with you because they are so good!
Good Night Books sent us three of their books. I picked Goodnight Maryland, because that’s where we live. I love that they have so many options for cities, states, and countries! I want to get more because Bailey LOVED seeing all of the pictures from Maryland. They’re not too long so they held Bailey’s attention the entire time. I hope to get Goodnight Charleston next, because that’s a place we plan to visit soon. These are written by Adam Gamble and illustrated by Mark Jasper. They also sent us Goodnight Campsite and Goodnight Bedtime. I love these. Thank you, Good Night Books!
This is a subscription service that sends monthly books, all wrapped up in beautiful paper. It felt like Christmas when we received ours! There were board books for Harper as well as some bigger paperback picture books for Bailey. The subscription starts at $16.95 per month, which includes 2-3 books wrapped up and sent right to your door.
These companies are great and really seem to care about their readers and the quality of the books. When it comes to book, I really don’t think you can have too many. So go check out Good Night Books and Bookroo! What is your favorite children’s book?
